Rabiteen 2

I left the scene of the crime completely unnoticed. It was a shock since my eyes were covered in blood, although the passerby might have just thought it as a bad makeup job.
    It’s not my fault really. He just sort of impaled himself. Of course I pushed him, like a woman fleeing for her life. Maybe I was. He was suffocating me. Suffocating like a plastic bag over your head on a hot July day.
    He didn’t deserve it. He was just confused. A lost wolf in sheep’s clothing, that’s all. I played god. God. God damn. God damn him. I’m supposed to feel horrible. All I feel is glad. I’m glad that it’s over. Glad that I never have to see him again.

When he lied it meant he loved me…
